Hope, Love, and Friendship

We had a great dinner last night. Nikola took us to an awesome Macedonian restaurant. We got to walk through an older part of town which was cool.

Today was our last with the kids for this trip. We had a great time getting the mural all finished and the kids, and all of us, put our handprints on the Tree of Friendship. It turned out beautiful thanks to Laurie!!! It will be something bright and beautiful for the kids to pass by every day. We hope it will serve as a reminder that we, meaning ALL the past and future NPCC teams, love and care for them, even though we aren't always there.

It was sad to leave them, but I know some of us will return, myself included. Here are some photos of today.

Tonight we had dinner at a local bakery, and just had to get fresh donuts from a vendor here in the City Center.

Then it was off to a Christian concert. Didn't understand a word they were singing, haha, but it was a neat experience!!! Tomorrow we have a fun day touring around Skopje!

  3. The posts and pictures allow us to be right there with you. Thank you for sharing! The mural is gorgeous...designed by God above. The hand prints on the tree was a beautiful idea, and one the kids will remember for a long time. I thought of your team lots yesterday with having to say good-bye. So excited to hear some of you are going back...it's just that kind of place.

  4. Thank you so much for creating this Blog Greta! The experience in Macedonia will forever stay in my heart and soul. I loved creating the Mural for the kids and enjoyed everyone's participation in helping bring it alive. I hope to return and look forward to all those warm hugs and big smiles.
