18 Days Away
The May Team is just about ready to go!
We are very close to reaching our fundraising goal and actually hope to surpass it. We think our complicated itinerary is going to work out. Well, we all have seats and we'll end up in Skopje. That's good enough!
We'll all be together for a final meeting this Sunday. I am so looking forward to having this meeting with a team that has come together fabulously.
All is coming into focus with at least enough order for us to head off to Skopje confident in what we can accomplish.
Andy referenced this verse last Sunday and it stuck with me. It reminds me of the power and grace we receive just by loving him.
Romans 8:28 (NIV)
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.
It certainly makes me feel that we will be ready to do the best we can to build and repair things at the orphanage. Most importantly, to show those kids some care and hope.
I want to thank my friend Jeff Cook for really helping out, in leading this awesome group. Several of us on the team have had a lot of change this year, me especially. I have leaned on him a lot to keep my head above water. I thank him for all his efforts.
It is always amazing too to see what special people who are out there that support us. A huge thanks to everyone who gave large or small amounts. Every bit counts and each dollar we commit to doing good things. Thank all of you for allowing us to have this opportunity to serve!
Finally, we get to see our former teammate and friend Elizabeth Burton. She is in Skopje as a full-time missionary and has made our preparations much easier. Can't wait to see what she has been doing.
I hope you will follow us and take a look at the photos as I can promise there will be photos of what we're doing!
