Greetings all! We're back...
I thought there's no point in creating another blog. We have this one and it works just fine.
It only seems fitting to continue to work through this as it symbolizes the continuation of the great things accomplished that we want to continue in Macedonia.
I hope that this continues to be a forum for our brothers and sisters going to Macedonia in October as well. The fabulous Jill Wood is leading that journey.
We're very blessed to have the opportunity to return to Skopje to work with Nikola and our friends at Soul Craft Church. We are particularly blessed and look forward to working with the orphanage there as well. Those kids need our help yet we too benefit through them.
The team is just about complete and to work with it's awesome-ness it was decided that we need 2 leaders. Jeff Cook and I will do the honors.
Jeff and I have spent a lot of time strategizing and planning for the May 2013 trip. There's much to think about. So we are simply building a foundation for the team to contribute their ideas in order that we all do the best we can in May. Needless to say, Jeff and I are stoked to get things rolling.
Andy (Andy Stanley, Sr. Pastor of NPCC) mentioned a piece of scripture that hit me as very inspirational for our approach to this trip: Deuteronomy 24:19
When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the alien, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
I feel like this guides us to do all that we can while not holding any fear that something didn't quite go the way we wanted. If we "leave it all on the field' all will be blessed. Those worries should not bother us. We hopefully will have left lasting examples of what we can do as a team working with Christ.
We're ready. We need your help through prayer as well as financial support.
Stay tuned we want to share all that is happening.
Dan
